Consultation

I offer a free consultation in person or via Google Meet. During our consultation we get to know each other and answer any questions or curiosities you may have regarding home birth and midwifery care!

Prenatal Care

Our prenatal care starts when you are ready! Typical visit schedule would start in the first trimester, with visits every 4 weeks until 28 weeks, then every 2 weeks until 36 weeks, then weekly until the birth of your babe. This schedule can be adjusted to your wants and desires. During our time together we delve into a variety of areas: nourishment, joys, stressors, questions, testing options etc. Visits are typically 45-60 minutes in length and will be at Emily’s house in Cedar Falls or in the comfort of your home!

Labor and Birth

When labor announces itself we will connect over the phone and make a plan about when I will join you. Emily will bring another midwife or assistant to your birth. Our team will stay with you through the birth and the first few hours postpartum.

Postpartum Care

I’ll visit your home for our first postpartum visit 24-48 hours after baby is born and then at 1 week. The 3 week and 6 week postpartum visits will take place at Emily’s home.
